Cattle 'n Clover to Host St. Patrick's Kickoff Party


Our friends at Cattle 'n Clover (3817 Pacific Ave.) are gearing up for St. Patrick's Day festivities next weekend, which will also coincide with their first anniversary celebration.

Cattle ‘n Clover, a steak house with an Irish soul, will be using the restaurant’s first birthday as a kickoff party to the St. Patrick’s Day weekend festivities. Beginning Fri., March 15, Cattle ‘n Clover will host a birthday bash with live entertainment from Johnny’s Cousin Steve at 6 p.m., a free dessert with every entrĂ©e purchase, free giveaways, $4, 32-oz Birthday Beer and a free buffet from 10 p.m.-midnight.

Sat., March 16, the day kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with registration to the 5K Cattle Drive. An entrance fee of $25 gets runners admission to the islands newest 5K race, a race t-shirt, post-race breakfast and a weekend pass to the St. Patrick’s Day Block Party. The Cattle Drive will begin promptly at 10 a.m. in front of Cattle ‘n Clover, 3817 Pacific Avenue.

The Irish-themed restaurant will be hosting a traditional Kegs ‘n Eggs post-race breakfast for all participants beginning at 10:30 a.m. A portion of the morning’s proceeds will go to Lunch with Lynch to help support the local island children and county-wide after prom activities.

Following the 5K Cattle Drive, the second annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party will kick off at 11 a.m. Partygoers 13 and older are able to purchase a two-day $15 wristband, which grants entrance to two full days of entertainment, an event t-shirt and free unlimited soft drinks for children.

This family friendly weekend has fun activities for children and the child at heart; including, free balloon twisters, face painters and a giant bounce house. A stellar entertainment lineup is scheduled for the outside tent including Flip N Mickey’s from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m, followed by Fuzzybone from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. and the Sensational Soul Cruisers closing out Saturday night from 7-10 p.m.

The mighty Duffy String Band will be performing between acts and periodically throughout the day. The party doesn’t stop when the tent closes; Flip N Mickey’s will perform an encore inside Cattle ‘n Clover from 10:30 p.m. until closing.

A second helping of Kegs ‘n Eggs will kick off St. Patrick’s Day, Sun., March 17 at 10:30 a.m. A discounted one-day wristband can be purchased for $10 which includes an event t-shirt, a seat at Kegs ‘n Eggs and free soft drinks for the underage crowd. The entertainment tent will host Flip N Mickey’s from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m., followed by Sir Rod from 3-6 p.m. and finish off the night with Animal House from 7-10 p.m.

At 10:30 p.m. the crowd will discover who truly has the luck of the Irish when a free trip for two to Ireland is drawn.
