Wildwood Crest Hosts 9/11 Memorial Service

PRESS RELEASE

Approximately 150 people attended the Borough of Wildwood Crest’s annual 9/11 memorial service held Tuesday evening adjacent to Sunset Lake.

The service honored the thousands of people killed by the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, with special recognition given to Wildwood Crest native and Wildwood Catholic High School graduate Andrew Alameno, who was among those who died at the World Trade Center in New York City on 9/11.

The event was hosted by Wildwood Crest Commissioners Don Cabrera, Joyce Gould and Carl Groon and included readings and prayers from Father Joseph Wallace, of Notre Dame de la Mer Parish; Reverend Tom Lavery, of First United Methodist Church; and Rabbi Jeffrey Lipschultz, of Beth Judah Temple.
