For the third year in a row and the fourth time in five years, the Wildwoods have finished #1 in the New Jersey Top 10 Beaches survey.
The results of the voting were announced earlier today at the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium's annual State of the Shore Media Event.
Ocean City (the 2009 winner) took second place after slipping to third place last year. Sea Isle City and Cape May took fourth and sixth place, respectively, giving Cape May County four of the top 10 spots.
The Wildwoods also pulled off a clean sweep in individual category voting for the second straight year, being named the destination for "Best Family Vacation" and "Best Day Trip," while also earning the nod for "Best Ecotourism."
Overall, 48 shore communities were represented in the poll, from Sandy Hook down to Cape May.
