North Wildwood hosts annual Captain Kidd Pirate Day with Boardwalk parade and beach treasure hunt on Saturday, May 16th

THE WILDWOODS - Ahoy, young buccaneers ~ Get ready to set sail for a day of swashbuckling fun at North Wildwood's annual Captain Kidd Pirate Day on Saturday, May 16 (rain or shine)!

Don your finest pirate attire and join the lively parade, which kicks off at 11 am at 26th Avenue and the Boardwalk. Prizes will be awarded for the best pirate costumes following the start of the treasure hunt.

All children ages 12 and under are invited to wear their best pirate-themed apparel and participate in a free parade of brave buccaneers and swashbuckling scallywags to where "X" marks the spot. 

Check-in, line-up and costume judging will take place at 26th Avenue and the Boardwalk from 10 am to 10:45 am. The parade will then step off at 11 am and proceed north on the Boardwalk to 20th Avenue and the beach, where Captain Kidd is said to have buried his famous treasure.

Children 12 and under who only want to participate in the treasure hunt should arrive at 20th and the Boardwalk around 11 am. Following the parade, the treasure hunt will begin, and a raffle will be held at its conclusion. 

This family-friendly event is FREE and the perfect opportunity to embrace your inner pirate and search for hidden treasure during a day filled with whimsical fun, as the weather begins to warm.
