Downtown Wildwood to Host Car Show and Block Party on Friday, May 11

Car Show takes place in conjunction with Wildwoods’ 20th Annual East Coast Boardwalk National Car Show

The Wildwoods, NJ – May 3, 2012 – On Friday, May 11, Downtown Wildwood’s Pacific Avenue will be lined with gleaming, colorful, vintage automobiles as the Downtown hosts its first- Car Show and Block Party.

The Car Show commences as vehicles roll onto Pacific 5:30 p.m. for a judging competition. Trophies will be awarded at 9:30 p.m. from restaurants along Pacific Avenue, including Juan Pablo's, Goodfish Grill, Cattle n' Clover, Shamrock Cafe, Café Italia, Gia Restaurant, Romeo's Pizza, IO-E-TU Restaurant' and The Deck in various categories.

Downtown Wildwood’s Restaurant Row, the Pacific Avenue Block Party (PABP) organization and The Wildwood Business Improvement District (WBID) invite everyone attending the Thunder Motor Sports’ 20th Annual East Coast Boardwalk National Car Show on Friday May 11 and Saturday, May 12, to make plans to visit the Downtown on Friday night, park and enjoy this Pacific Avenue Street Display, along with live outdoor entertainment, and great food from their Downtown restaurants.

About the Wildwood Business Improvement District

The Wildwood Business Improvement District (WBID) is a self-governing corporation that provides services to the Wildwood Business District through a self-imposed assessment. Their Board of Directors is elected by the businesses to oversee the annual report and budget. The WBID Board also works closely with the Wildwood Boardwalk Special Improvement District (WBSID) and Management Corporation for professional management services. The WBID works with the city to improve existing services to the district and provide additional enhancements and focus. Funding is created through an annual assessment on property in the district, collected by the city, but transferred and controlled by the BID.
