One of the most colorful events of the year takes place this afternoon in North Wildwood as nine famous string bands will take part in the town's annual Mummers parade, starting at Olde New Jersey Ave.
The festivities will kick off at 4 p.m. with a Mummers strut contest.
The parade will begin at 4:45 p.m. and will feature: Aqua, Avalon, Durning, Fralinger, Ferko, Hegeman, Quaker City, South Philly, and Woodland.
