Girl dies after fall from Giant Wheel

We are deeply saddened to report that an 11-year-old girl has died after falling from the Giant Wheel at Mariner's Landing earlier this afternoon.

Wildwood 365 would like to extend our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of the child. Our thoughts and prayers are with them, as well as the Morey family and staff during this difficult time.

Update, 4:15 p.m.:  In the aftermath of the tragedy, Morey's Piers has announce that it will be closed this evening. The piers will reopen tomorrow, Saturday, June 4th, on normal operating schedule.
