Chiarella Foundation benefit to aid local schools

The 12th Annual Gia Marcella Chiarella Foundation Benefit will be held on Sunday, March 13th from 1 - 6 p.m. at the Bolero Resort (3320 Atlantic Avenue).

Named to honor the late Gia Marcella Chiarella, the foundation provides funds for non-budgetary recreational school activities and equipment to five of the schools in the Wildwoods.

For the past five years, St. Ann Regional School, Crest Memorial School, Margaret Mace School, Wildwood Catholic High School, and the Wildwood School District have received funds from the Gia Marcella Chiarella Foundation.

To date, nearly $135,000.00 has been distributed to schools in the Wildwoods to pay for amenities not regularly included in school budgets.

Gia Marcella Chiarella died suddenly in December 1998 at the age of 13. She was an eighth-grade student at Margaret Mace School in North Wildwood, where she was an honor student, Student Council President and cheerleading captain.

Tickets for the benefit are $20 each. Price includes food, wine and beer, entertainment, live auction and door prizes.

For more information, call Vincent or Beth Chiarella at 609-675-6033, or 609-729-5959. The foundation is a non-profit organization and all checks are tax deductible.
