Family Holiday Celebration kicks off this evening

The Third Annual Wildwoods Family Holiday Celebration begins tonight, with a number of activities over the next two days.

Festivities begin in Anglesea, with the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:30 p.m. (1st & Central Avenues). Santa will be on hand and refreshments will be served.

The Greater Wildwood Jaycees Christmas Parade then begins at 7 p.m. at 15th & Central Aves. The route continues south on Pacific Ave., through Wildwood and into the Crest, ending at the Wildwoods Convention Center.

The parade will feature a festive line-up of floats, firetrucks, and other creatively decorated vehicles, accompanied by Santa and his friends. Awards will be presented at the Convention Center and a tree lighting ceremony will take place at 8 p.m.

Tomorrow (Saturday), the Convention Center lobby will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A craft show will be held, with movies, and entertainment for the entire family.
