Doo Wop Preservation League hosts newest book on Wildwood

PRESS RELEASE

Wildwood by-the-Sea, NJ - The Doo Wop Preservation League will host Robert O. Williams for a book-signing. Mr. William’s newest book “Wildwood’s Neon Nights & Motel Memories” will be available for purchase at the Doo Wop Experience Museum from 6-7pm on Thursday August 5, 2010. The Museum is located at 4500 Ocean Avenue, across from the Greater Wildwoods Convention Center.

“This book captures the Doo Wop architectural style and spirit that have defined the landscape of memories of this seaside resort. It is a trek through the decades (1960s to the present) that stops a dozen times at memorable places with colorful people that have added significantly to the style, evolution, preservation, and restoration of this fun resort town.”

This event is FREE and open to the public. Guests will receive $1 OFF root beer floats in souvenir mugs at the Doo Wop Experience Malt Shop in the museum.

Stay for the Thursday night twilight bus tours of Wildwood's famed Doo Wop motel district, beginning at 7pm. Hop on the Doo Wop Bus to experience the Wildwoods By-the-Sea and the half century celebration of their 1950’s/60’s heritage where bright neon lights, funky motels, and rock and roll were all the rage.

There is nothing like it on the coast and they just keep getting better year after year.
