House of Haunts website launched

The House of Haunts - a walkthrough attraction currently under construction at Sportland Pier - now has a website. Click the image above to check it out!

The new darkride is on target to be open in August. It is being designed under the direction of co-owners Robert Kocher (Fright Times Magazine) and Eric Princz (Creative Design & Engineering).

Ralph Grassi of Funchase.com recently had the opportunity to tour the attraction as it was coming together. He reported that it will have a true "throwback" feel, and will feature many familiar props from classic haunts of the Wildwoods' past, including Castle Dracula and the old Haunted House at Surfside Pier.

Check out Ralph's update HERE.

The debut of the House of Haunts will mark the culmination of a darkride renaissance on the Boardwalk this summer. Morey's Piers unveiled their long-awaited Ghost Ship at Mariner's Landing over Memorial Day Weekend.

Sportland Pier has not been home to an active haunted attraction since Dr. Blood's House of Horror closed along with the amusement center in the early 1980s. The long-dormant darkride was finally demolished in 1997.
