Monday Memories: El Coronado (circa 1980)

This week's trio of pics were sent in by Steven De Paul, from a family vacation around 1980. Steven, who was about four at the time, has nothing but wonderful memories of this trip with his parents, which included a stay at the El Coronado Resort in the Crest... 

Here is Steven with his parents on the balcony of their room at the El Coronado, looking out toward the ocean. Check out the awesomely-vintage room curtains!

Steven posing for a photo on the balcony. Remember when the El Coronado was painted beige (as opposed to today's blue-colored scheme)? Otherwise, it probably doesn't look too much different now, from this perspective.

Of course, we all remember the best part of our childhood vacations -- the Boardwalk! Here, Steven enjoys some fun with his dad. He recalls this arcade being in the vicinity of Castle Dracula.
