The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a coastal flood advisory, which is in effect from 10 am to 3 pm for Cape May County.
Northeast winds gusting between 15 and 20 mph are expected. These winds will cause water levels on the coast and the back bays to run higher than normal.
High tides will occur during the first half of the afternoon. Water levels may reach minor tidal flooding status.
These conditions are of particular concern after beach erosion and sand dune destruction caused by the Nor'Easter two weekends ago. The NWS warns that winds and wave action may cause flooding in areas previously protected by the dunes.
Please take precautions and be careful, everyone!
