WCHS to present feature on local artist

Thank you to Kristen Steindl for the heads-up on this most interesting upcoming event...

Next Monday, February 16, the Wildwood Crest Historical Society will be hosting a special presentation entitled "Wayne Seddon: The Shy Artist" at the Crest Pier at 7:30 p.m.

The feature will focus on local artist Seddon's contributions to creating world class amusement art in Cape May County. The event is open to the public.

According to this terrific article by Scott Hand (courtesy of Mr. Boardwalk), Seddon, along with his brother, Jack, and Denis Easey, was a member of the creative team and a sight display artist for Fun Pier, during its glory days.

Among the many projects on his resume is the transformation of a little-known dark ride called "Seascape" into Castle Frankenstein during the late 1970s.
