NORTH WILDWOOD - The City of North Wildwood and VFW Post 5941 are honored to announce that the Dedication Ceremony for the North Wildwood, New Jersey Gold Star Families Memorial Monument and the Re-Opening of North Wildwood Veterans Memorial Park is set to take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11 a.m.
The ceremony will be held in front of Gold Star Families Monument near the intersection of Anglesea Dr. & Weeks Ave.
The Gold Star Families Memorial Monument serves as a tribute to all Gold Star Families and Relatives across the country, including North Wildwood and New Jersey, who sacrificed a Loved One for Our Freedom.
The pillars of the Monument represent the sacrifices of the brave men and women who served the United States of America, and the families and community that supported the service members along the way.
“While we must never forget the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for the survival of liberty and freedom of this great nation, we must also never forget those Gold Star Families that supported and grieved their fallen loved ones,” stated Mayor Patrick Rosenello.
“We are honored to be able to dedicate the beautiful Gold Star Monument and the renovated Veteran’s Park to those courageous families. It will serve as a great reminder to all why we celebrate our Veterans each day.”
The installation of the Gold Star Families Monument and Veterans Park renovations complete Phase 1 of the overall Gateway Enhancement Project, funded by the North Wildwood Veterans Committee, the Run to Remember, the Woody Williams Foundation, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Cape May County Open Space Program, and the City of North Wildwood.
All are welcome to join alongside Veterans of the North Wildwood VFW Post 5941, City of North Wildwood officials, Gold Star Family members, religious leaders, elected officials, residents, visitors, and many more in the momentous dedication ceremony to the courageous families of the fallen.
