Kane Brown, “the future of country music,” joins 2024 Barefoot Country Music Fest lineup

One of the hottest young stars in country music is coming to Wildwood in 2024.

Kane Brown was announced as the latest headliner of the 4th Annual Barefoot Country Music Fest this morning. The 30-year-old singer/songwriter joins Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and an eventual roster of over 40 of country’s biggest names and rising stars at next year’s festival, set for June 20-24.

Hailed as “the future of country music” by Billboard, the Tennessee native has racked up an impressive list of awards and accomplishments since the release of his self-titled debut album in 2016.

“[Brown] has earned ten chart-topping No. 1 singles at Country radio, headlined internationally sold out tours and stadium dates, and garnered a series of milestones that continue to expand the perception of country music and break musical boundaries,” noted an official BCMF release.

His career highlights thus far include “being named to the Time100 list (2021), becoming the first black artist in history to headline and sell out Boston’s historic Fenway Park (2023), winning ACM Video of the Year (2021) and multiple CMA, ACM, Billboard, AMA, CMT and People’s Choice award nominations.”

Brown initially gained fame through social media, posting videos of his covers of songs by industry stars like Branley Gilbert and Billy Currington, and legends such as Alan Jackson and George Strait

Of his unique pathway to success, the New York Times noted: “Kane Brown didn’t fit the country music mold. So he made his own.”
