The Phillies’ 2-1 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series is a bummer for fans throughout the region, but there is a silver lining if you plan to be at the shore this weekend…
Game 5 is now a certainty and will be broadcast live on a 20-foot inflatable screen at the Bonfire on the Beach in North Wildwood, this Saturday night, October 21!
This will mark the second straight year that a Phillies playoff game will be shown at the event, with the 2022 version being a big hit.
The bonfire, always a festive occasion that marks the end of the tourism season, will be held at 1st & Surf Avenues, with gates opening at 6 pm. The game is set to begin at 8:07 pm.
Admission will be $10 (children under 12 are $2 each).
Those attending are encouraged to bring a chair and/or blanket, and to dress appropriately.
Saturday’s forecast calls for highs in the mid-60's, lows near 50 degrees and a 40 percent chance of rain earlier in the day, per the National Weather Service.
If necessary (let’s hope not!), the rain date for the bonfire is Saturday, November 4.
