New Jersey's original country music fest announces ACM New Female of the Year
WILDWOOD - The Northeast's largest outdoor country music fest, in conjunction with Southern Entertainment, announces singer/songwriter Lainey Wilson as a performing artist at next year's Barefoot Country Music Fest.
The third annual Barefoot Country Music Fest is set to take place June 15-18, 2023. Major headliners including Blake Shelton, Kid Rock, Darius Rucker, Jon Pardi, Parker McCollum and Michael Ray are also slated to perform alongside 40+ national, regional and local artists throughout the weekend.
American country music singer and songwriter, Lainey Wilson was raised in the small town of Baskin, Louisiana. Lainey became interested in music at a young age. After learning a few chords from her father on the guitar, Wilson began writer her own songs. In 2006, she released an EP on MySpace titled "Country Girls Rule." After high school, Wilson moved to Nashville to pursue her career in the country music industry.
After 10 years of chasing her dreams, Wilson earned the enthusiasm of the industry as Billboard's "Top New Country Artist of 2021" and the 2022 "ACM New Female of the Year." Her first PLATINUM Certified ACM Song of the Year, "Things A Man Oughta Know," continues to captivate audiences with her signature Bell Bottom Country sound and aesthetic.
The Barefoot Country Music Fest is honored to have Lainey Wilson perform on the Miller Lite Main Stage along some of today's hottest stars on the shores of Wildwood in June of 2023.
