Earlier this year, Little Nicky's, the northernmost pizzeria on the Wildwoods Boardwalk, announced that it would be opening a second location in town.
The new spot, at 120 W. Walnut Avenue, officially opens today. Hours are set for 3 pm - 3 am daily, as the shop will cater to the late-night crowd of the nearby North Wildwood Entertainment District. While the menu will remain similar to that of the original Little Nicky's, the second location will feature hand-carved cheesesteaks as its signature item.
A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 3 pm on Saturday, July 2. For one hour, guests will receive a ticket good for one free slice of pizza.
Owners Elaina Galdo-Pagan and Hawk Pagan took over Little Nicky's at 17th & Boardwalk in 2020, after it had sat dormant the previous summer. Neighboring Pompeo's, which had been closed for several years, was reopened by Rich Merlino shortly after.
Both establishments had been owned and operated by the Klug family from 1978 until they retired and sold the businesses after the 2018 season.
According to Galdo-Pagan, the decision to expand the Little Nicky's operation sprang from the success of the Boardwalk shop over the past two summers and the potential of the Walnut Avenue location, which stands at the foot of the North Wildwood entrance corridor.
The building has undergone a total interior renovation after sitting empty for several years. It most recently operated as Slice Brick Oven Pizza.
