Little Nicky's carries on family-friendly tradition at 17th & Boardwalk

A decades old tradition at the corner of 17th & Boardwalk is once again opening its doors for the summer season. Little Nicky's is well known by vacationers and locals alike, providing delicious pies and a fresh grill for 40 years.

Little Nicky's started in 1978 with former owner John Klug opening both the pizza parlor and Pompeo's, a restaurant located just next door. After closing both businesses more than five years ago, the Pagan/Galdo family took the reins last year and revitalized the business.

Serving a signature buffalo chicken pizza, hot burgers and nostalgic Philadelphia treats (like pizza pretzels and Arctic Splash ice tea), Little Nicky's aims to please all guests. The business is also home of the Boardwalk's only "pig wings." Touting that "pigs do fly," the restaurant sells a half a pound of bone-in pork, topped with a choice of various dressings, for just $10.

"I worked in the bar/restaurant business with my father for 15 years," said owner Elaina Galdo-Pagan. "I absolutely love customer service and meeting new people. What better way than providing people with the most delicious pizza on the Boardwalk?"

Elaina is no stranger to Wildwood. While growing up, the Galdo family always stayed at the Cardinal Motel on annual visits. Her father, John, always told her that his goal was to own a motel on the island. Now, a successful businessman, John Galdo owns multiple condos and properties, including the building that houses Little Nicky's.

"I'm very proud of what my father has done and that he has allowed my husband and I the opportunity to invest into growing the corner of 17th & Boardwalk," said Elaina. My whole family is extremely blessed."

Dough is made fresh every morning at Little Nicky's, just underneath the Boardwalk level entrance. The Galdo-Pagan family takes extra care to provide quality ingredients at a family friendly price.

Unique items like pig wings, cheesesteak egg rolls and pizza pretzels are what drives customers to Little Nicky's. The restaurant offers more than just a slice of pie and the customer service is beyond comparison.

Little Nicky's is open Memorial Day Weekend from Thursday to Monday, and full time starting June 2. Like many businesses on the island, they are still currently hiring.
