The Establishment at 100 to close permanently after this weekend

The Establishment at 100, a staple of North Wildwood’s restaurant scene and entertainment district for the better part of the past decade, will be closing permanently after this weekend.

The announcement was made this morning via Facebook by owner/executive chef Andrew Steiner.

“Thank you to all of our loyal customers that we’ve had over the past eight years,” he wrote. “Without you, the restaurant wouldn’t have made it as far as it did. You gave us a chance to bring something new to the area and welcomed us with open arms. It’s nice to know that we’ve helped create many fond memories for you at The Establishment over the years.

“Most importantly, I’d like to thank my staff. Whether previously or currently employed, everyone that has worked inside the walls of The Establishment has helped create the special environment that it was We pushed the envelope with the help of all of you and were able to deliver a product to be proud of. I’ve always believed that you aren’t anything without your staff.

“So, once again, I can’t thank you enough for the time and energy you applied to help shape The Establishment into what it was.”

Steiner created The Establishment in early 2013, transforming the former Claude’s Restaurant at 100 Olde New Jersey Avenue with a simplified interior makeover and his signature “farm-to-table” menu approach.

The restaurant’s final days of operation will be today and tomorrow - Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14 - open from 5 - 10 pm both nights.

From here, Steiner will focus his energies on his family’s Stone Circle Farm, a “no-spray organic family farm” in Cape May Court House.
