Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce hosts the Wildwoods Holiday Shopping Village - Saturday, November 28th

PRESS RELEASE

The Wildwoods, NJ - To kick off the holiday season and in support of small local businesses and artisans, the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce (GWCOC) will host its first Wildwoods Holiday Shopping Village in Downtown Wildwood's Byrne Plaza and its immediate surrounding area on Saturday, November 28 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Shopping, holiday prize raffles, a 50/50 raffle with prize package of $10,000, a gingerbread house decorating contest and entertainment performances will be a part of the festivities.

"The GWCOC always encourages folks to shop locally and support the businesses within our community, and with the challenges that all businesses faced this year and consumer concerns about the safety of shopping indoors, it was important for us to be able to provide a safe place where people could shop, be social while socially distancing from others, support our businesses and revel in the holiday spirit. With this event, I believe we will achieve that," states GWCOC Executive Director Tracey DuFault.

The Wildwoods Holiday Shopping Village offers attendees a festive, socially distant and completely outdoor shopping experience planned with safety in mind. With over 80 vendors, including unique, one-of-a-kind holiday gift items, food and a Beer Tent sponsored by MudHen Brewing Company, on four different lots, you will be sure to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list - from the youngest to the young at heart.

Love decorating and gingerbread? Submit your entry in the Gingerbread Decorating Contest!

Pre-registration is suggested and all registrants must be received by noon on the day of the event. Entries will be judged under the following categories: Friends & Family, Business, Organization or School and type: Traditional (build with food); Creative (built with any safe product, i.e. wood, cardboard, Styrofoam).

To further enhance the holiday spirit, local performers from area schools will provide entertainment throughout the day. Students from Art of Gymnastics and Cheer, Joanne Regan School of Dance, Wildwood High Band, and more are all scheduled to perform.

This event will also serve as a toy drop location for The Lynch Who Stole Christmas From the GrYnch Program benefiting underprivileged children in the local communities. Please consider donating an unwrapped gift for the Lunch with Lynch Foundation.
