Morey's Piers will say "PROST!" with the its annual Oktoberfest festivities with a ceremonial keg-tapping this Friday, September 20.
The event will take place at 6 pm at the front of Mariner's Landing (Boardwalk & Schellenger Avenue), with a tappng of Warsteiner beer by lederhosen-clad members of the Morey family.
They will be joined by special guest Helmut Fricker, a German yodeler and alphorn player, who will perform authentic music during opening weekend.
Oktoberfest weekend festivities will include classic German-themed food and beverages at Wilhelm's Bier Garten and Jumbo's Grub & Pub, a kids "Rootbier Garten" activity area, and a full lineup of bands rocking the Coca-Cola Stage in front of the Giant Wheel.
Mariner's Pier will host four three-day Oktoberfest weekends: September 20-22, September 27-29, October 4-6 and October 11-13.
The pier will be open from 6 pm - 11 pm on Fridays; 12 pm - 11 pm on Saturdays; and 12 pm to 5 pm on Sundays.
