Sightseer Tramcars to roll again, starting Friday, May 5th

No phrase is more readily identifiable to the Wildwoods than those four magical words:

WATCH THE TRAMCAR PLEASE!

Every year, word of the Sightseer Tramcars' first appearance is major mile marker on the bumpy wooden path back to Summer.

According to North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello, the trams will begin rolling again on Friday, May 5 - exactly 75 days away!

This is, of course, weather permitting, as you can never be certain with those pesky Spring conditions. But, now that a date has been set, we have yet another returning institution to look forward to.

The Sightseers are synonymous with the Wildwoods, dating back to the debut of the trackless trains on June 11, 1949.

Service is available at all points along the two-mile long Boardwalk, from the "beginning" at Cresse Avenue up to the northern terminus at 16th Avenue, and usually continues until late September.
