TORNADO WARNING for Southwestern Cape May County in effect


A Tornado Warning is in effect for Southwestern Cape May County.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued the following:

  • Tornado Warning in effect until 4:15 p.m.
  • At 3:39 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Green Creek, or 8 miles north of Cape May, moving east at 45 mph. Hazard, tornado. Source, radar indicated rotation. Impact: flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile Homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, Windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
  • This dangerous storm will be near. Stone Harbor around 3:45 PM EDT. Avalon around 3:50 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Whitesboro-burleigh, Erma, West Wildwood and villas. Tornado, radar indicated Hail, <.75IN.
