Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market Adds 6 Weeks in 2015

PRESS RELEASE

The Wildwood Business Improvement District introduced the Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market on Pacific Avenue a year ago on June 28th.

One year later, the market season has grown from 10 weeks to 16 weeks and continues to attract new visitors each week!

Since opening Memorial Day weekend, shoppers have been heading to Pacific and Schellenger every Saturday morning for their farm fresh fruits, vegetables, plants and cut flowers.

In addition to the farmers, the Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market has 16 vendors selling freshly baked products, bagged nuts, gourmet herb mixes and dressings, organic teas, honey, ice cream sandwiches, local wine, home made soaps, smoked meats and cheeses, pickles, salads and donuts and guacamole made on site while you watch.

Opening on Memorial Day Weekend, when the Wildwoods had record crowds, provided great exposure to the masses for the new market.

“Many of our Memorial Day visitors have help us spread the word about the Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market taking place every Saturday on Pacific Avenue," said Jodie DiEduardo, Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market Manager.

"We have shoppers who have come every week since we opened last year and many more who have gotten into the habit of shopping the Farmers Market and Pacific Avenue stores every Saturday morning.  It has been great for the Farmers Market vendors and the surrounding Downtown Businesses on Pacific Avenue."

The Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market is open every Saturday, through Labor Day Weekend, from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., at 3501 Pacific Avenue (at Schellenger Avenue) in Downtown Wildwood.

FREE PARKING is available in the parking lot behind the market with entrances on Schellenger and Oak Avenues.
