Woody's Place - longtime North Wildwood institution - will close its doors June 30th

We were very saddened to hear confirmation earlier today that Woody's Place (102 E. 18th Ave.) - one of the legendary bars/corner haunts of the Jersey Shore - will be closing its doors next week.

The following was posted on Woody's Official Facebook Page around 3 p.m.:

After ten years in business, we are sadly closing the doors on June 30th but will remain up for sale.

We would like to thank all of our amazing customers for their prayers, loyalty and continued support.

We would also like to thank our employees whom throughout the years have worked so hard and stuck by us till the end. We love and will miss you all. Sunday will be our last day so please join us.

Sunday, June 29th - All beers and drinks will be $2.00, shots $3.00.

Meet Me at Woody's one last time!

*******

Woody's has operated under current ownership for the past decade, but its history dates back many decades. Also previously known simply as Woody's Bar and Woody's Corner.

No further information is available at this time, but stay tuned.

We can only hope that Woody's will re-open at some point in the near future...
