PRESS RELEASE

On Sunday, January 26 The Women in Wildwood (WOW) hosted their 2nd annual Pancake Breakfast at The Tom Cat restaurant in Wildwood, NJ with proceeds from the breakfast benefitting the local schools rewards programs.

The Tom Cat restaurant was jumping that Sunday morning with over 300 breakfasts being served. Between tickets sold and additional donations made, WOW was able to raise over $2800 for the Wildwoods local schools reward programs.

“We are so happy with the amount of money we were able to raise through this event,” said Susan McGee, WOW president. “And we want to thank everyone that came out to support us, it truly was a success.”

Among the schools benefiting from this fundraiser were:

Crest Memorial School in Wildwood Crest, Glenwood Elementary School and Wildwood Middle School in Wildwood, Cape Trinity Catholic School and Margaret Mace School in North Wildwood.

During the breakfast, members of the organization volunteered their time working as hostesses, waitresses, bussers, food runners, etc.

“It’s great being surrounded by so many giving people who are focused on bettering our community,” said Maggie Warner, Media Relations for WOW. “And we can’t forget to thank Dave and Liz Bannon along with their staff for opening the Tom Cat restaurant to us, we couldn’t have done it without them.”

WOW is currently collecting and accepting donations for new makeup, gift certificates, and slightly used prom dresses.
