St. Patrick's Day Weekend is here!

The following is a alphabetical rundown of island establishments running a variety of specials and promotions over the next three days.

Celebrate St. Patty’s day where the Irish come to play at Casey’s on Third, voted best Irish Bar 2012. Casey’s features live entertainment all weekend long starting at 3 p.m., Fri., March 15, with DJ Timmy O spinning classic Irish tunes. Try your luck as Casey’s features giveaways throughout the weekend. Casey’s carries all of your Irish favorites from Harp to Smithwick’s and is offering awesome drink specials including $4 Guinness pints. Casey’s can also satisfy Irish food cravings with their signature Fish & Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, Corned Beef & Cabbage, and other Corned Beef specials. Following the holiday, Casey’s on Third will be open seven days a week beginning Mon., March 18.

Cattle ‘n Clover kicks off their epic St. Patty’s Weekend Extravaganza with Fri., March 15th’s Birthday Celebration and Customer Appreciation Day. Join in celebrating Cattle ‘n Clover’s first birthday with live entertainment, giveaways, a free dessert with every entrée, and $4 Big Birthday Beers all night! Get a running start to the weekend with Saturday’s 5K Cattle Drive beginning at 8:30 a.m. and includes admission to the second annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. and until the party ends.

Admission for the block party is $15 for non-runners and includes a T-shirt, breakfast and soft drinks for kids. All block partiers under 13 years of age will have free admission. Live entertainment includes The Soul Cruisers, Flip N’ Mickey’s, Fuzzy Bone, Animal House and Sir Rod. On Sunday night, we will find out who truly has the luck of the Irish when they draw the winner of two tickets to an unforgettable six-night stay in Ireland.

A tradition since 1937, the Shamrock will be celebrating with live music by Billy Jack all weekend long and by First Highland Watch, a Pipe Brigade Rock Band beginning Sat. the 16th at 8 p.m. Show your Irish pride with Irish party favors and free face painting.
