It's become an annual rite of passage.
Every year, on the Friday before Presidents Day, Sam's Pizza Palace at 26th & Boardwalk re-opens its doors... and the road to summer gets a little bit easier.
Starting at 11 a.m. this morning, Sam's will be open (for weekends, for now) for the 2013 season.
Opening weekend always provides for a festive atmosphere. Come on down, and if you stop by, be sure to post a pic of your "first slice" on our Facebook page.
Sam's, entering its 57th season - and eighth already in its new building under the Shore Plaza Beach Resort - will join a small roster of Boardwalk businesses open in the waning days of winter, including neighboring Gateway 26 and Sand Jamm Surf Shop, and the Original Fudge Kitchen down at Roberts Avenue.
