Voting opens for 5th annual NJ Top 10 Beaches survey - Help keep the Wildwoods #1!

Wildwood fanatics, MOBILIZE!

Yes, it's that time of year again...

Voting opens at noon today for the fifth annual New Jersey's Top Ten Beaches survey.

In the brief history of the award, Wildwood has taken the top spot three out of four years (2008, 2010, 2011; Ocean City won top honors in 2009). North Wildwood, Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest competed as seperate entities in 2008 and 2009, but joined together as "The Wildwoods" in 2010.

Last year, in a nod to Cape May County's dominance, the survey was expanded to also include "best beach" winners in each of the state's four coastal counties - Atlantic, Ocean, Monmouth, and CMC - in addition to the overall winner.

Please support the Wildwoods with your vote and help spread the word to your friends, as our island goes for the prestigious three-peat!

About New Jersey's Top Ten Beaches Survey...

There are 48 shore communities represented along the state's 130-mile coastline, from Sandy Hook to Cape May. The survey asks, in each reader's opinion, which community is home to the best beach?  There are three categories to vote in that will help determine this year's Top 10 Beaches; you can vote once in each category:

Family Vacation | Day Trips | Ecotourism

Past Winners
2008 - 2009 - 2010 - 2011

The results of the 2012 New Jersey’s Top 10 Beaches Survey will be featured during the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium's annual State of the Shore Media Event on Thursday, May 24, 2012, just before the Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial start of the summer season.
