Final Weekend to Check Out Morey’s Piers

New Halloween Event – Morey’s FEARS- Terror on the Boardwalk Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29
PRESS RELEASE

Morey’s FEARS, Morey’s Piers’ new-for-2011 Halloween event and the country’s only haunted pier, will horrify guests for two more nights – Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 – this coming Halloween weekend. Leading up to its final weekend, Morey’s FEARS has thrilled, chilled and terrified thousands with its frightening attractions and abandoned theming of Mariner’s Landing October 14-15 & 21-22.

In addition to dark incarnations of the Sea Serpent, Super Scooters, Tea Cups, Pirates of the Wildwoods, Rollie’s Coaster, Musik Express, Moby Dick and Ghost Ship, Morey’s FEARS also features two, all-new, horrifying, Halloween-only attractions built exclusively for the event – CornStalkers, a creepy cornfield that ominously sprouted on the beach that twists, turns and terrifies those who dare to enter, and CarnEvil, a creepy clown-themed scare zone where the games are rigged, the snacks may attack and the clowns could catch you.

Executive Chef Wally Jurusz has also cooked up some seasonal favorites for the event, as well as food items new to Morey’s Piers. Pumpkin funnel cake will be available at various eateries on the pier, as well as Wally’s famous chowder in bread bowls. Other themed and seasonal treats include ice cream in chocolate or pumpkin cake bowls, pumpkin shaped pretzels and more. For drinks, hot cider will warm your chilled bones and Jumbo’s Restaurant will serve seasonal craft beer to guests over 21.

Morey’s FEARS is a gated event open from 6:30-11 p.m. with admission required for entry. General admission tickets for the event are $25 per person and include unlimited access to all available rides and attractions for the night. Season Pass Members can present their valid Season Passes at the gate for $10 off the admission price. Due to expected long lines on Saturday, October 29, guests are encouraged to attend Morey’s FEARS on Friday, October 28 if possible.

Be warned: this event is NOT for the faint of heart (or children under 8). Guests are not permitted to wear masks, costumes and/or makeup to the event.
