Last rides of the season at Adventure Pier - Farewell to the Jersey Junkyard

Today is the final day of operation this season for Adventure Pier.

Not only is this your last chance to ride the Great White in 2011, it's your last opportunity to ride the Jersey Junkyard EVER.

(Bonus points if anyone out there remembers the Junkyard's original name and theme...)

The dark ride will be removed shortly; according to Morey's Piers' official Facebook page, some of its props and scenery will be used at various locations for Morey's FEARS - Terror on the Boardwalk.

Both Adventure Pier and Mariner's Landing will be open from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. today.

Mariner's Landing will be open for the first two weekends of October, then will be transformed for Morey's FEARS for the weekends of Oct. 15-16, 22-23, and 29-30.
