Wildwoods again crowned "Best Beach"... and then some!

For the second straight year and the third time in four years, the Wildwoods have finished #1 in the New Jersey Top 10 Beaches survey.

Long Beach Island came in second place, while Ocean City (the 2009 winner and runner-up in voting for Cape May County beaches) took third.

In addition, the Wildwoods pulled off a clean sweep of the individual category voting (a new feature this year), being named the destination for "Best Family Vacation" and "Best Day Trip," while also earning the nod for "Best Ecotourism."

Overall, 48 shore communities will be represented in the poll, from Sandy Hook down to Cape May.

The results of the voting were announced this afternoon during the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium's annual State of the Shore Media Event in Sandy Hook.
