Chants of "Lets Go Flyers!" will echo in living rooms and bars from Philly to the Wildwoods this Memorial Day Weekend!
The Flyers have earned the right to challenge for the Stanley Cup, with a 4-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens tonight in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals at the Wachovia Center.
This marks the Orange & Black's first trip to the championship round since 1997, and eighth finals appearance overall. The team has not won the Cup since the Broad Street Bullies captured the second of their two titles in 1974-75.
Awaiting the Flyers in the finals will be the Chicago Blackhawks, who completed a sweep of the San Jose Sharks in the Western Conference Finals on Sunday. The Hawks have also endured a long Cup drought, last claiming the silver chalice in 1961.
