Looks like the plug has been pulled on the Project 5292010 blog, with the "Moles" signing off for the last time today.
Before doing so, however, they left a few final (and very cryptic) potential clues about the new attraction the Morey Organization is presently building at Mariner's Landing.
Four photos were posted, including one close-up of something with a rusty steel look (a ship, perhaps?).
There is also mention of an "important date" that presumably has something to do with the project - July 22, 1943.
Maybe something to do with World War II? Any ideas?
On July 22, 1943 the U. S. Submarine Triton failed to return from patrol operations and was be presumed lost. Wikipedia shows the sub was obviously found and in 2007 was towed to a recycling facility for decommissioned nuclear subs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Triton_(SSRN-586)

However, crew members supposedly complained of severe nausea afterwards. Also, it is said that when the ship reappeared, some ... See More sailors were embedded in the metal structures of the ship, including one sailor who ended up on a deck level below that where he began, and had his hand embedded in the steel hull of the ship.
