The canopy of the Sonic Drive-In restaurant in Rio Grande collapsed this afternoon, under the weight of snow accumulated in back-to-back storms this week. Fortunately, there are no reports of any injuries. The structure is less than two years old, having opened in mid-2008.

Also in Rio Grande, the Wal-Mart at Grande Center remains closed, due to heavy amounts of snow on its roof. The store was evacuated yesterday as a precaution.
