Brannen not keen on "Boardwalk Cops" pitch

Could a new reality-based law enforcement show be in the works in Wildwood?

According to the Cape May County Herald, Chicago-based 20 West Productions wants to produce a program with the working title "Boardwalk Cops." But at least one city official is adamant in his opinion that this would not be a good idea.

Commissioner Al Brannen walked out of a public meeting on Wednesday night, during a presentation by 20 West reps Melissa Cutlip and Jason Bolicki. He later returned, expressing his thoughts on the matter in an emotional address.

Meanwhile, Mayor Gary DeMarzo and fellow commissioner Chip Harshaw appear to be on board with the idea, which, according to Cutlip would "show the typical day in the life of a police officer in Wildwood," while "not staging anything."
