According to the Cape May County Herald, the newly organized Wildwood city commission voted today to rescind a $5,000 payment to Main Street Wildwood.
The reason cited was that the money exceeded the annual yearly contract amount the organization has with the city.
Mike Porch, executive director of MSW, is attempting to appeal the decision, claiming that the money had already been promised and certified out of the city's 2009 budget.
In other news, the commission added a city hiring and salary freeze to the new business agenda. It will be introduced in an ordinance on December 30th.
