Improvements scheduled for Wildwood Crest's Centennial Park

PRESS RELEASE

WILDWOOD CREST - The Borough of Wildwood Crest is set to perform upgrades to Centennial Park, located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.

Work will be done in two phases, with the first phase scheduled to commence before the end of April and completion scheduled prior to Memorial Day Weekend.

The proposed work for the first phase of the project includes the installation of new bollards, concrete sidewalks and decorative double-sided paver walls, as well as the restoration of disturbed areas to original conditions.

"Centennial Park is nearly 20 years old and is in need of some improvements," Wildwood Crest Mayor Don Cabrera said. "This work not only will improve the look of the park but will also make it safer for those using or attending events and activities at the park."

Residents and visitors are asked to refrain from using the park during construction. Portions of the beachfront bike path at and near Centennial Park may temporarily close while work is being carried out.

Improvements at Centennial Park will be conducted by Think Pavers Hardscaping LLC, with oversight from DeBlasio & Associations, the Borough of Wildwood Crest's engineering form.

The second phase of the work will be completed just after the summer season or before the start of the 2027 summer season and will include lighting upgrades to the stage area and throughout the park.

For more information, contact the Borough of Wildwood Crest at 609-522-5176 or DeBlasio & Associates at 609-854-3311.
