Wildwoods Welcome Center to host Opening Weekend festivities ~ Friday, April 4th & Saturday, April 5th

The weather is warming, the days are getting longer and, every week, more and more seasonal businesses in the Wildwoods are reopening their doors.

A new season is in bloom, and the Wildwoods Welcome Center is set to mark the occasion with its own Opening Weekend celebration this Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5.

"This is always an exciting time of year, as we welcome back visitors to the island and prepare for the summer season ahead," said Bob Sahasaylo, Executive Director of the Greater Wildwood Hotel/Motel Association (GWHMA), which operates the information center at 1 NJ-47, just over the George Redding Bridge.

"The annual opening of the Wildwoods Welcome Center is an opportunity to get reacquainted with our guests and have some fun while sharing info and celebrating the things we love most about our island."

The festivities kick off Friday, morning, April 4 with a live broadcast by 98.7 The Coast (featuring Mark Hunter) from 8 am to 10 am.

There will be giveaways on Friday and Saturday, April 5, including FREE Welcome Bags, stuffed with coupon books, brochures, a map of the Wildwoods, 2025 Fun & Sun Guide and assorted "swag."

Opening Weekend signals the start of regular operations at the Wildwoods Welcome Center, which is now open daily from 9 am to 5 pm throughout the summer season.

The Wildwoods Call Center will also open on Friday at 9 am:

"Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be on hand to answer any and all questions, and to give recommendations on hotels, restaurants, attractions and more," said Sahasaylo. "We call it our Hotel Vacancy Hotline. We have the latest updates and info on where to stay and the scoop on all things Wildwood!"
