THE WILDWOODS - As the summer crowds fade and the weather remains just as beautiful, many gather for surf fishing competitions on the five-mile beach this September.
The Wildwoods are a popular location for fishing year-round with spots along the back bay, on docks or at street ends, as well as plenty of beaches along Hereford Inlet in North Wildwood, where fishing enthusiasts gather for surf fishing.

North Wildwood Recreation Department Surf Fishing Competition
Friday, September 6 - Sunday, September 8
The North Wildwood Recreation Department Surf Fishing Competition will take place September 6 - 8. Registration will be held at the Gazebo at 3rd & JFK Blvd, and there is a $15 participation fee. The tournament takes place Friday and Saturday from 7 am to 5 pm, and on Sunday from 7 am to 11 am.

Pennsauken Surf Fishing Club Fishing Tournament
