Roots Classic Volkswagen Car Show returns to the Wildwoods Convention Center ~ September 6-8

THE WILDWOODS - Start your engines Volkswagen owners and enthusiasts! 

The Roots Classic 3 Volkswagen Car Show returns to the Wildwoods Convention Center September 6-8, 2024. This family-friendly event is a full weekend dedicated to the grassroots of the Volkswagen community. 

The weekend begins Friday, September 6 with a barbecue from 12 to 4 pm at the Cape May County Park & Zoo, located at 707 Rt. 9 Cape May Courthouse. 

Many of Saturday’s pre-show events and GTGs take place at Cape May County Zoo and Park, beginning at 9 am and include an Aircooled GTG, and a Corrado/Scirocco GTG. At 10 am at the North Wildwood Skate Park, 2307 Delaware Avenue, an MK1 Madness MK1 GTG will be held. At 12 pm at the car wash located at 4600 New Jersey Avenue, an MK2 Mayday MK2 GTG will take place, and at 3 pm an East Coast MK3 GTG begins. At 8 pm Saturday night, a Pre-Show Banger will take place at MudHen Brewing Company, 127 W Rio Grande Avenue in Wildwood. 

On Sunday, September 8 beginning at 11 am, spectators can view pre-2000 Volkswagen cars inside the Wildwoods Convention Center and also shop for VW merchandise and accessories from a number of vendors. A post-2000 and pre-2000 judged exhibition of winners and vendors will be displayed outside the Convention Center.
