The Wildwoods celebrate July 4th Weekend 2024 with jam-packed family fun and entertainment

THE WILDWOODS - The Fourth of July in the Wildwoods is filled with live entertainment events – many of them FREE to attend – as well as a Fireworks Spectacular unlike any other at the Jersey Shore. 

Whether you’re visiting the Wildwoods for a long weekend or staying for the whole week, there’s always exciting fun to be had! 


Downtown Wildwood Fitness in the Plaza 
Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5 

Don’t take a vacation from fitness! Enjoy two workouts at Byrne Plaza in Downtown Wildwood on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5 from 8:30 - 9:30 am. Join Lisa and Kobe for a Total Body Strength and Cardio workout on Thursday morning. Just a $5 fee paid to the instructor and FREE parking. Join Dion for Bootcamp Circuit training on Friday morning. He’ll keep it interesting and challenging with games like Fitness Monopoly! Just a $10 fee paid to instructor and FREE parking.

Yoga on the Beach 
Thursday, July 4 to Sunday, July 7 

Enjoy a bit of relaxation and grounding this 4th of July Weekend with Yoga on the Beach at Burk Avenue behind the Wildwoods Convention Center at 9 am daily. Practice with the sun, surf, and sand for a unique experience featuring a traditional Hatha yoga class, infused with Qi Gong, a variety of healing therapy, and lots of modifications for all levels. Fee for class is $7 paid to the instructor.

Independence Day Family Parade 
Thursday, July 4 

Join the Independence Day Family Parade, open to all ages, starting at 9 a.m. from 9th and Atlantic Avenues in North Wildwood, proceeding north to 1st and Surf Avenues. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated bikes, wagons, strollers, scooters, and low speed vehicles in red, white, and blue theme. Registration takes place from 8:15 - 8:45 am.

Patriotic Pooch Parade 
Thursday, July 4 

Bring your four-legged friend to participate in the Patriotic Pooch Parade beginning at Bill Henfey Park, located at 8th and Central Avenues in North Wildwood. Check in is from 8:15-8:45 a.m. and the parade begins at 9 am at 9th and Atlantic Avenues and proceeds north to 1st and Surf Avenues. Prizes will be awarded. Pooches can be registered on the day of the parade.

Thursday, July 4 

The Wildwood Business Improvement District is bringing The Juliano Brothers and throwing a July 4th Party at Byrne Plaza, located at 3400 Pacific Avenue in Wildwood. Gather your friends for a free dance party at 7:30 pm until the Boardwalk Fireworks Spectacular lights up the sky at 10 p.m. come down early to set up your beach chairs and blankets and visit the Downtown Wildwood restaurants, bars, and shops before, during, and after the show.

At 10 pm, turn your chairs to face Pacific Avenue and watch the extended July 4th Fireworks Spectacular Show along the skyline.

Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular on the Boardwalk 
Thursday, July 4 

Celebrate Independence Day on the Wildwoods Boardwalk and enjoy the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at 10 p.m. This special fireworks spectacular, launched from the beach at Pine Avenue, is synchronized to patriotic music playing over the Wildwoods Boardwalk sound system and simulcast on the local 106.3 radio station. In case of inclement weather, the rain date is Friday, July 5 at 10 pm, which will be announced on the Wildwood By the Sea Facebook page.

4th of July Boardwalk Craft Show 
Friday, July 5 to Sunday, July 7 

The Boardwalk Craft Show is a must-see for any fan of handmade products. Taking place on the Wildwoods Boardwalk Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., the event is rain or shine. Find unique artisans, handmade craft items, boutique items, gifts and much more.

Sports Card, Toys, Comics & Collectibles July Show 
Friday, July 5 to Sunday, July 7 

Held at the Wildwoods Convention Center, the expo will feature more than 200 tables of the hottest collectibles, including old and new sports cards, non-sports cards, old and new toys, comic books, Pokémon sets, supplies, Funko Pops, Yu-Gi-Oh, Beanie Babies, videos, jerseys, books, posters, coins, t-shirts, Legos, antiques, and so much more. There’s something for everyone. Show hours are 3 pm - 8 pm on Friday, July 5; 10 am - 8 pm on Saturday, July 6; and 10 am - 5 pm on Sunday, July 7. Admission is free.

New Moon Movement, Sound, & Meditation 
Friday, July 5 

Enjoy an evening of movement and vibrational healing as the day winds calm down during a busy weekend. Begin in gentle stretches and move fluidly in meditation to the sound of gongs, bowls, drums, and the gentle sounds of the ocean. The effects of sound healing last up to 72 hours after the class. The class is on the beach at Burke Avenue in Wildwood at 7 pm and lasts about 75 minutes. Bring a beach towel and a blanket or cover up for the relaxation part at the end. Fee is $16 per person, or bring a friend for $27 for two people, paid to the instructor.

Wildwoods Boardwalk Friday Night Fireworks

The Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market is the place to be every Saturday morning 8 am to 12:30 pm until Labor Day Weekend for Jersey Fresh produce, baked goods, specialty foods, gifts, and more. Sidewalk Chalk Competition 
Saturday, July 6 

Make memories with the kids and join the free sidewalk chalk drawing competition at 9 a.m. in Bill Henfey Park, 8th and Central Avenues in North Wildwood. Judging takes place at 10:45 a.m. All ages are welcome to participate, and winners will be announced on Facebook.

Wildwood UBall Open – NEW!

Enjoy the fast-paced competition of UBALL, a "no dribbling" version of 3-on-3 basketball played right on the sand. Watch for free as a spectator or register a team up to 5 players – 3 players and up to 2 subs – to compete for the inaugural crown as the best ballers on the Wildwoods beaches.
