The North Wildwood restaurant and bar will host Double Down every weekend

NORTH WILDWOOD - Longstanding North Wildwood entertainment district icon, Flip Flopz, is excited to announce a collaboration with Jason Weiss and Double Down Entertainment for Summer 2024. Saturday and Sunday Tiki Topz pool parties and Flip Flopz entertainment will be headlined by Double Down Entertainment DJs.
“We needed someone to really take hold of our music at Flip Flopz and bring it current,” said owner Joe Mahoney. “The pool is open to the public and on the weekends it is packed for our pool parties. It is a good time up there. I wanted a DJ that has a following and can give the customers the music they are looking for. This is a big improvement for us. We are excited to have Double Down Entertainment this summer.”
Jason Weiss has worked in the industry for almost 20 years. He has performed alongside top award winning talent; most recently Justin Timberlake, Usher, and T-Pain at a private festival in Mexico. He has previously opened for Pitbull, The Jonas Brothers, Ricky Martin, Mary J Blige and was direct support for iconic DJs like Steve Aoki, Marshmello, Swedish House Mafia and Zedd.
This summer he will work with Two Friends and open for Ke$ha in Atlantic City, as well as perform his residencies at top nightlife venues and local venues like Flip Flopz.
For Weiss, being a DJ and entertainer is something he is truly passionate about. His motivation comes from the industry and his family.
“For me personally, it's my two daughters Madison and Elizabeth,” said Weiss. “Being a girl dad has been the coolest job I've had yet. From a professional standpoint, playing music has been a passion of mine and now as a bar/nightclub/restaurant owner myself making sure the venues I book at have access to the best available talent for the best guest experience possible is what keeps me going.”
DJs of Double Down Entertainment are just as talented, Weiss packs his team with experienced performers that know how to read a crowd and start a party. At Flip Flopz, the music will be open format, allowing for Double Down Entertainment to create a set but also take customer requests that fit the venue.
“I am excited for my team to start at Flip Flopz and Tiki Topz and cannot wait to see everybody this summer,” Weiss added. “We are definitely going to make memories down the shore this year.”
Flip Flopz is located at 106 W Spruce Ave in North Wildwood. Double Down Entertainment starts Memorial Day Weekend and continues Saturdays and Sundays in the summer. The venue is more than just a bar. The restaurant features a new menu, the bar has every day happy hour, the pool is open daily to the public with parties on the weekends.
