Thanks to the weather forecast, it will be A Year Without a Christmas Parade in the Wildwoods.
The beloved Wildwood Jaycees Christmas Parade has been cancelled, along with all related events at Byrne Plaza (festival, tree lighting, awards ceremony) for tonight - Friday, December 1, 2023.
** However, Christmas in the Plaza activities on Saturday, December 2 will proceed as scheduled, with free carnival rides, vendors, live entertainment and more from 10 am to 3 pm. **
There will be no makeup date for the parade, with Sunday, December 3 looking to be a washout as well.
This evening’s Wildwood Crest Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony has also been cancelled, but the tree and decorations along Sunset Lake will still be turned on, per Mayor Don Cabrera.
