The weekly artist announcements from Barefoot Country Music Fest continue, with an early reveal due to the Thanksgiving holiday. This morning, Jake Owen was officially added to the lineup for the 4th annual edition of the event.
The charismatic Florida native will join headliners Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Kane Brown and Old Dominion, along with rising star Bailey Zimmerman and over three dozen of the industry's hottest acts and emerging performers, next June 20-24 on the beach here in Wildwood.
Known for his unique blend of laid back stylings and honkytonk vibes, the "Beach King" and his legion of fans should feel right at home on the sands of 5 Mile Beach.
"With a career-spanning collection of gold and platinum certifications, ten No. 1 singles and over 2.5 billion U.S. on-demand streams, Jake Owen has ascended to stardom as a mainstay country staple," stated an official BCMF release.
Owen burst onto the scene with his debut album Startin' with Me in 2006, then took home ACM honors for Top New Male Vocalist and Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2008 and 2012, respectively.
In 2019, Owen's sixth studio album, Greetings From... Jake, delivered three No. 1 its - "Made For You," "Homemade" and "I Was Jack (You Were Diane)" - along with the top five smash "Down to the Honkytonk." His latest LP, the 16-track Loose Cannon, was released on June 23 by Big Loud Records.
The 42-year-old singer/songwriter has toured as an opening act for some of the biggest names in country music, including Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Little Big Town, Sugarland, Jason Aldean, and fellow 2024 BCMF performer Keith Urban.
