DOWNTOWN WILDWOOD - The annual September 11, 2001 Remembrance Ceremony will be held at Byrne Plaza in Downtown Wildwood on Monday, September 11 at 1 pm.
The Wildwood Business Improvement District (WBID) hosts this observance each year to honor and remembrer the 2.977 people who were killed, and thousands injured, by the September 11, 2001 attack on the United States of America.
The ceremony also honors the thousands of Ground Zero first responders who have died over the past 22 years due to 9/11-related illnesses.
There ceremony will include 9/11 first responders, representatives from the City of Wildwood Fire and Police Departments, as well as local religious and civic leaders. In addition to speakers, the City of Wildwood Fire Department will present "Ringing of the Bell" and "Presenting of the Colors" by the City of Wildwood Honor Guard.
Byrne Plaza is located at 3400 Pacific Avenue in Downtown Wildwood. Everyone is encouraged to attend and remember so that tragic day is never forgotten.
