Downtown Wildwood to hold September 11th commemoration on 21st anniversary of terror attacks

WILDWOOD, NJ - On Sunday, September 11 at 10:30 am, a solemn September 11, 2001 Remembrance Ceremony will take place at Byrne Plaza, 3400 Pacific Avenue in Downtown Wildwood.

Organized by the Wildwood Business Improvement District (WBID) for the past several years, the ceremony will honor and remember our fellow Americans who were killed on that tragic day, as well as the first responders who have died over the past 21 years due to 9/11-related illnesses.

The ceremony will include 9/11 First Responders, representatives from the City of Wildwood Fire and Police Departments, as well as local religious and civic leaders. In addition to the speakers, the City of Wildwood Fire Department will present "Ringing of the Bell" and "Presenting of the Colors" by the City of Wildwood Honor Guard.

Everyone is encouraged to attend and remember so that tragic day is never forgotten.

Parking is always FREE for Byrne Plaza evens in the parking lots behind the shops; on the east side of Pacific Avenue, between Oak and Schellenger Avenues, and on the west side of Pacific, between Oak and Wildwood Avenues.
