PRESS RELEASE
WILDWOOD - Grab your dogs and get ready to stretch - Poses & Pups is coming to the Wildwood Dog Park & Beach on Friday, September 2 at 8 am!
Created by The Gym at 10th, the event is a fun, charitable class good for participants of any fitness level and those with no experience. Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs, but dog lovers without a dog are also welcome to attend the fundraiser.
New owners of the gym, Stacie and Ron Tedesco, have brought on instructor Gina Pawlik for the event and hope for a big turnout.
"Like so many members of the gym, our French Bulldog Violet is part of the family!" said Stacie. Whenever Ron or I are working out at home, she's always entertaining us, doing her own 'downward dog' and sniffing around, so we thought it would be natural to host a fitness event that celebrates our pups!"
The Wildwood Dog Park & Beach is operated and maintained by the City of Wildwood. Rising costs of care have prompted the city to accept donations for maintenance. Mayor Pete Byron, Commissioner of Public Works and Beach Services, knows how important the dog park is to the residents and visitors of Wildwood and welcomes events like Poses & Pups.
The Gym at 10th will donate 50 percent of class fees from Poses & Pups to the City of Wildwood for use at the dog park. The class is 45 minutes long with a $10 fee for gym members and a $20 fee for non-members. All dogs participating must be friendly and follow all the rules of the beach, including being leashed for the event.
Participants should meet behind the dog park at 7:45 am on September 2, bring a towel or yoga mat, and access the beach by the entrance under the Boardwalk at Maple Avenue.
The Gym at 10th is located at the corner of 10th & New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood and is newly renovated and under new ownership. Info on the gym, Poses & Pups and more classes is available at thegymat10th.com/classes.
